Why Volunteer?  At Rainy Dayz everything from helping to fund raise and screen applications for our services to transporting and fostering animals in our care is done by volunteers and without them we would not be able to do what we do.  As the scope of our services grows so does our need of volunteers.  You decide how much time you are able to spend helping us to aid animals in need.  Every time an animal receives the vet care they need or finds the loving home they were seeking, you will experience a feeling of satisfaction and joy knowing that your help was what made it possible.

How Can I Volunteer?  There are many areas that you can volunteer in at Rainy Dayz.  Below are a few samples of ways that you can volunteer and help make a difference in the lives of both animals and their owners.

• If your skills lay in computer programs such as Word, Excel and Access you could help us with keeping track of the animals in our care, keep our financial status up to date or write fundraising letters. 

• If you have good communication skills and enjoy writing you could assist us with writing a blog,  newsletter or brochure, respond to emails and phone calls or dealing with the public at our fundraising events.

• If you have a love of animals and are experienced and knowledgeable in their care, you may want to consider fostering animals that are in need of a temporary home while they are waiting for their forever family to find them.

• Do you drive?  We are always in need of drivers to transport animals to and from their vet appointments, to new foster homes when they come into care, and to visit local businesses who may want to make a donation for a fundraising event.

• Are you great at planning events?  When it comes to fundraising events we could use your help in finding venues, coming up with new innovative and creative ways to fund raise, coordinating the content and set up of fund raisers, and of course getting the word out about any upcoming events.
