​Who We Are

​

Emergency Fund: At Rainy Dayz our mission is to ensure that people with low income who have pets are able to access  urgent vet care.  No pet should have to suffer because the owner does not have the funds to pay for the needed medical treatment in an emergency situation.  Our purpose is to assist with the cost of emergency vet bills not to cover them in their entirety or to help with routine vet costs such as yearly immunizations.  This fund was started after seeing many pet owners struggle to find the money to get their pet the medical care needed when there was an unexpected illness or injury.  If you are in need of assistance in paying for emergency care for your pet please go to the Emergency Fund tab at the top of this page for more detailed information about the Rainy Dayz Emergency Fund .

 

Rescue: From time to time we will also take in dogs and cats that are in need of a new home for various reasons.  Any pets that come into our care will be seen by a vet as soon as possible for an initial assessment, immunization updates and flea treatment.  At this time a plan of care will be put in place in consultation with the vet staff to address any medical or emotional issues that the pet may have.  Please visit the Available tab at the top of the page to see what cats and dogs are currently looking for a new home.  All animals adopted through Rainy Dayz will be Vet checked, spayed/neutered, up to date on immunizations, de-wormed, and treated for fleas.

 

What Can You Do To Help?

Volunteer: Volunteers are always needed in many different areas such as fundraising, transportation and all the various administrative tasks that are needed to keep us running smoothly and efficiently.  If you would like to volunteer with Rainy Dayz please visit the Volunteer tab at the top of the page for more information on what we you can do to help.

 

Donate: Like all Charities we can not accomplish our mission without donations.  A donation does not have to be large as every dollar helps be it one dollar or one hundred dollars.  If you would like to donate to Rainy Dayz please visit the Donate tab at the top of this page to find out how cash donations can be made and what other supplies we may be in need of.

Foster:  When an animal is in need of a new home the first step toward that goal is to place them in a foster home.  Foster homes are where we can evaluate the progress of the medical and emotional needs of the pet so that we can be sure that when they are adopted they are in the best medical and emotional state possible.  All food and supplies as well as vet care is paid for by Rainy Dayz while the pet is in foster care.  We rely on our foster homes to provide us with accurate and up to date information on the physical and emotional state of the pets in their care so that their plan of care can be be adjusted as needed.  If you are interested in becoming one of our foster homes please fill out the foster application on our Volunteer page and submit it for our review.  We will do our best to match a pet who needs our help to the environment of your home.
